with Him to the cross,
In exchange for His glory for me;
He carried my wick-edness to the cross,
In exchange for his virtue for me
O, the peace that I now have,
Is because of the cross of Calvary;
O, the peace that I now have,
Is because of the cross of Calvary
2. He carried my guilt with
Him to the cross,
For His justification for me;
He carried my bondage with Him to the cross,
In exchange for His freedom for me
3. O, this great salvation that we sinners enjoy,
Is because of the cross of Cal-vary;
O, the heavenly gate that is opened for us, Is because
of the cross of Calvary
